Following the trial operation of Lijiang Rail Transit Line 1 on Nov 28, the third train sightseeing line in Lijiang has also been issued a bidding for surveying, designing and other projects.

The third train sightseeing line of Lijiang is not the same as the first and second lines of Lijiang Train sightseeing. You can transfer between the Lijiang Tourist Distribution Center and the first and second lines.

This 23.24km sightseeing line, named Lijiang Snow Mountain Sightseeing Train Line, leads from the tourist distribution center station where the first and second phase of sightseeing train meet, and heads west along the south side of Lijiang Botanical Garden. All the way through Xingdu Village, Yanjiao Village, Wuhe LAN Hotel, Little Jade Dragon Village, Dongba Kingdom Scenic spot, Dongba Wan God Park, Yuhu Village, Wenhua Village, Pearl Lake Station, Sea of Flowers, Museum (new Hall) and other 11 sites, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan.

The three train sightseeing routes each cover different tourist attractions, which can connect Lijiang's important tourist attractions and key tourist nodes through train sightseeing.

After the completion of the three lines, the length of Lijiang sightseeing train will exceed 65 kilometers, which is the longest train sightseeing line in Yunnan at present and rare in China.

In the near future, with the overall promotion of a series of comprehensive tourism projects such as Lijiang Sightseeing Train Phase I, Phase II and Phase III and Lijiang Snow Mountain Sightseeing Train, the total mileage of urban rail transit in Lijiang is expected to exceed 100 kilometers by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and it will basically realize the one-stop connection by sightseeing train to important hubs such as airport, passenger transport and railway station.
